Mist-Bound raised RM30K for Dementia Caregiver Training in Partnership with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia!

Mist-Bound – the fairytale inspired by the author’s father’s Dementia – was able to lend a real-life hand of support to dementia caregivers by helping to raise RM30,000 in funds towards training programs to better equip them. Snippet attached from The Star national newspaper.

This amazing campaign was in partnership with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia and the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation of Malaysia (ADFM), part of Alzheimer’s Disease International.

Launched last Christmas, Mist-Bound branded planners were sold at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf outlets around Malaysia, with all proceeds going to the worthy cause.

X’mas Fundraiser with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation of Malaysia

A community outreach campaign to raise awareness and funds for Dementia Caregiver Training, in partnership with global café chain The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) and the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation of Malaysia (ADFM)

Mist-Bound’s characters graced print collaterals at the event, including table-tent cards, coloring activity sheets, even the themed menus! Mist-Bound branded planners were also sold month-long at CBTL outlets with all profits going to the ADFM in support of the worthy cause.

Following the author’s talk, the ADFM shed light on the disease and their invaluable work to support persons with Dementia and their caregivers.

Mist-Bound has WON Singapore’s most prestigious children’s book award : The biennial Hedwig Anuar Children’s Book Award 2022 (Middle Grade Category)!!!

Organized by the Singapore Book Council, the award – given to the most outstanding childrens book of the past two years – was announced at the Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) and presented by guest-of-honor Mr. Ng Cher Pong, the CEO of the National Library Board of Singapore.

The middle-grade category was newly introduced this year, making Mist-Bound its maiden winner!
